This time, Baba Yaga isn’t setting out to save the world; she’s simply heading off for a vacation in the countryside to visit her granddaughter, Marusya. At the ancestral home of Marya the Artful, the family is preparing to celebrate the girl’s eighth birthday—a milestone that, by tradition, marks the awakening of magical powers within their lineage.
