Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TellyFlick (“we”, “us”) collects when you use tellyflick.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and password, or your name and email from Google if you sign in with Google. Passwords are stored securely in encrypted form by our database provider; we can never see them.
• Profile details you choose to add: username, display name and bio.
• Your activity: the movies and shows you add to your library, your watch status, episode progress, ratings, likes, reviews and diary entries, and who you follow.
• Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) to keep the service running and secure.

What is public

TellyFlick is a social diary. Your username, display name, bio, library, ratings, likes, reviews and diary entries can be seen by anyone, including people without an account. Your email address and password are never shown to anyone.

How we use your information

• To create and run your account and show your library and diary.
• To keep a record that you accepted these terms, and when.
• To send emails you need, such as confirming your address or resetting your password.
• To keep TellyFlick secure and working, and to fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not currently show ads or use advertising trackers. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and tell you.

Services we rely on

We use trusted providers to run TellyFlick. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — database and account sign-in.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Resend — sending account emails.
• TMDB (The Movie Database) — movie and TV information and images. We ask TMDB for titles and posters; we do not send them your personal information.
• Google Fonts — the font used on the site, loaded from Google’s servers.

These providers may store data in countries other than yours.

Cookies and browser storage

We store a small sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep data

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile and activity from our database. Backups and logs held by our providers are removed on their normal schedules.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile and library at any time. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the Account page. You can also ask us to send you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account by emailing hello@tellyflick.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

TellyFlick is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For important changes, we will let you know on the site or by email.
